Scrunchies are the cheapest way to increase order value in swimwear. They cost very little to produce, use leftover fabric from your main production run, and convert readily as a checkout add-on or a free gift above a spend threshold. Brands that bundle a matching scrunchie with every set report noticeably better perceived value with almost no margin impact.
Styles We Manufacture

Fabric Options
The whole point of a swim scrunchie is that it matches the swimwear, so we cut from your main production fabric — nylon spandex 80/20, recycled polyester 84/16, ribbed knit, or whatever base your collection uses. Because we cut from your existing yardage, there is no separate fabric minimum and no dye-lot mismatch. For orders where fabric remnants are insufficient, we can run a small additional yardage allocation during the main production booking.
Construction & Craftsmanship Details
The elastic is fully encased so it never contacts hair directly, which prevents the snagging and breakage that ruins cheap scrunchies. Seams are overlocked and turned so no raw edge is exposed. The closing seam is hand-finished with a slip stitch or machine-closed with a concealed join depending on volume. Elastic is chlorine-tested — standard elastic degrades quickly in pool water and loses tension within weeks, so we specify a swim-grade elastic that holds. Bar tacks reinforce the seam join on oversized versions where fabric weight puts more stress on the closure.
Customization & Branding
Print matching is automatic since we cut from your swim fabric. Branding options include a small woven label sewn into the seam, a printed care tag, or a branded card that the scrunchie slips onto for retail display. The card format works particularly well as a bundled gift item because it presents as a deliberate product rather than an offcut. Custom card artwork can be produced alongside your hangtag and packaging order.
Sizing & Fit Development
Two sizes cover the market: standard at roughly 10-11 cm diameter and oversized at 14-16 cm. Elastic tension should be confirmed on sample — too tight causes headaches with prolonged wear, too loose and it will not hold thick hair. If your customer base skews toward thicker or curlier hair textures, we recommend the oversized construction with slightly relaxed elastic tension.
Packaging & Shipping
Scrunchies pack in individual poly bags, on branded display cards, or bundled directly into the swimwear set bag as a gift item. They add almost no weight or volume to a shipment, so freight cost impact is negligible. Sets of two or three are packed together on a single card.
